The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Washington's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Washington is trying to control the position but Ferreira postures up.
Ferreira stands up and waves to Washington to follow him.
Ferreira lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Washington paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Washington shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ferreira manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ferreira controls Washington momentarily but Washington frees himself.
Washington wants to control from the top but Ferreira keeps moving.
Washington is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
