Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lee Jons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Killings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jons comes into the arena with You hate clowns!!! blaring out of the sound system. Killings is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cypress Hill-I Ain't Going Out Like That. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Lee Jons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Killings!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jons misses with a looping left.
Killings displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jons throws out the jab.

Jons gets caught napping as Killings dives in and scores a takedown. Jons manages to retain guard.
Killings trying to control but Jons is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jons is on top in guard.
Jons wants to pass the guard but Killings is keeping the position.

Killings isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jons stacks Killings on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jons!
Killings tries to buck Jons off but Jons is having none of it.
Killings throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Killings looks to move to half guard but instead Jons has passed into mount! Damn!

Killings sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Killings is looking for a sweep. Jons is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jons is looking to take a break and control but Killings is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jons working over Killings with some ground and pound. Killings looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killings wants to improve his position but Jons is controlling well.

Killings looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Killings working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jons doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jons manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jons got a little sloppy there for a moment and Killings has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jons has managed to get both his arms back between Killings's legs - danger averted.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fighters circle momentarily. Killings darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Killings throws a series of punches but Jons avoids them all with ease.

Killings moves out of range of the strikes.
Johnny Lee Jons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jons fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Killings manages to avoid it.
Killings throws a solid leg kick but Jons takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Killings.
Johnny Lee Jons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Killings will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jons changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Jons throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Killings stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Jons counters with a stiff right hand.

Jons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Killings moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jons keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Killings misses with a two punch combination.
Killings works over Jons's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Johnny Lee Jons has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Killings takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Killings showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jons.
Killings uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jons.

Jons throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Killings on the side of the head.

and Killings counters with a series of strikes. Jons will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jons throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jons moves away from the strike by Killings.

Some bone on bone action there as Killings checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jons throws out a loose jab but Killings uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jons slaps away a takedown attempt from Killings, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Johnny Lee Jons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Killings.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Killings. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Killings closes the distance and clinches up with Jons, looking for a takedown. Killings pushes Jons against the cage but Jons circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Killings lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jons!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Killings is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jons can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

I would just about give that final round to Kevin Killings.
I've got Killings winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
