Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Limmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Limmen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Limmen lands with a right hand.
Limmen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aldo moves away.
Limmen tries to bum rush Aldo with a series of wild strikes but Aldo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Aldo wants to clinch.
Limmen looks to score with a jab to the body but Aldo is just out of range.
Limmen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Aldo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Limmen's guard.
Limmen keeping full guard, as Aldo tries to pass.

Aldo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Aldo wants to control from the top but Limmen keeps moving.

Limmen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Aldo has gone for a leg lock! Limmen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Aldo's guard.

Aldo is looking for a triangle but Limmen pushes his legs off easily.
Limmen wants to stand but Aldo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Aldo controls Limmen momentarily but Limmen frees himself.

Aldo is looking for a triangle but Limmen pushes his legs off easily.
Aldo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Aldo has a closed guard, preventing Limmen from standing up.
Limmen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Limmen trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Aldo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Limmen wanted to stand there but Aldo had control of the position.
Aldo is pulling down on Limmen's head. It's preventing any offense from Limmen, at least for the moment.

Limmen wanted to stand there but Aldo had control of the position.
Aldo tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Aldo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Limmen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Limmen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Aldo looking for a guillotine here but Limmen defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aldo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Limmen is aware though and is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Aldo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Aldo tries to close the distance and clinch but Limmen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A punch lands to the side of Aldo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Limmen looks to throw the jab but Aldo is out of range.
Limmen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Aldo at a distance.
Limmen takes a swing at Aldo's ribcage but misses.
Limmen misses with a lunging right hand

and Aldo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Limmen!

Aldo is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Limmen is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jake Aldo!
