Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Whissell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naru Jarkko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whissell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rose Of Sharon. Jarkko has chosen Hawaii 78 & E ala E as his entrance music. Naru Jarkko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarkko swings for the body but Whissell moves out of range.
Jarkko scores with a jab to the jaw.

Whissell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jarkko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Whissell tried to score with a low kick but Jarkko checks it.

Jarkko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Whissell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jarkko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Whissell is looking to stand up but Jarkko isn't so interested in that idea.

Whissell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jarkko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jarkko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Whissell makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Whissell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jarkko.

Jarkko is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Whissell rather than just go for the knockout.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horrible takedown by Jarkko or perhaps it was just good defense by Whissell which made him look bad.

That was a close round but I would say that George Whissell will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jarkko shoots in for a takedown but Whissell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Good leg kick by Whissell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Jarkko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Whissell's face.

Jarkko postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Whissell in real trouble here! The ref calls for Whissell to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Naru Jarkko!
A relieved looking Naru Jarkko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
