And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Harris!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes wants to clinch but Harris slips to the side
and Harris counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Mendes.
Mendes tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mendes wants to clinch
and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mendes closes the distance and clinches.
Harris wants a takedown.

Harris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Melvin Mendes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Harris counters with a left and a right that stings Mendes.

Harris drops back looking for a leg! Mendes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mendes manages to kick Harris off! Harris jumps back into Mendes's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mendes but Mendes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Harris throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mendes because Harris loaded up on that one.
Mendes wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Harris.

A close second round but Ethan Harris will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Harris throws a solid leg kick but Mendes takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Harris.
Mendes wants to clinch up but Harris keeps it at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mendes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Harris lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mendes backs up against the cage.

Harris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Harris makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Harris dives in and grabs Mendes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mendes pushes down on Harris's head and hops out.

Harris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mendes is trying to control Harris's posture but Harris avoids it.

Harris working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mendes is trying to get back to half guard.
Mendes can't do much from the bottom here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Harris sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mendes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mendes prevents Harris from moving into mount.
Harris throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Mendes tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Harris presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mendes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ethan Harris.
I've got Harris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
