Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Krohn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gumby Pokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krohn comes to the cage accompanied by Superman Socks. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokey throws a head kick but Krohn moves out of range.
Krohn scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pokey doesn't seem bothered though.
Krohn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Krohn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Pokey wants to stand but Krohn is controlling the position.
Krohn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Krohn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Krohn.
Krohn thows a body shot but no joy.
Krohn throws a body punch but Pokey moves out of range.

Krohn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pokey to the ground. Krohn is now in Pokey's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pokey keeping full guard, as Krohn tries to pass.
Pokey is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Krohn wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Pokey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pokey showed some decent athleticism there.
Pokey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Krohn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Krohn gets back to full guard.
Krohn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pokey's guard.

Krohn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Krohn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Michael Krohn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Pokey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Krohn's half guard.
Pokey looks gassed!

Krohn tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Krohn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Krohn.
Krohn wants to sweep here but Pokey controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Krohn is on top in guard.
Krohn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pokey looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Krohn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Krohn stands and throws Pokey's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Pokey throws a head kick that misses.

Pokey feints and as Krohn raises his hands in defense, Pokey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pokey is breathing heavily.
Pokey wants to control from the top but Krohn keeps moving.

Krohn has his foot on Pokey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pokey works his way back into a safe position though.
Krohn is trying to keep Pokey in close.

Krohn looking for a triangle here. Pokey is fighting it but it looks tight! Krohn pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Pokey is tapping out - this one is all over!
