The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQueen is looking to clinch but Kuukeri is avoiding it.
McQueen looks to land a combination but Kuukeri avoids it well.
McQueen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kuukeri misses with a body shot.

Kuukeri closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McQueen's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kuukeri tries to free his leg and advance position but McQueen is retaining full guard.
Kuukeri scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kuukeri accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kuukeri is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kuukeri sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McQueen's guard.

Kuukeri is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McQueen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kuukeri.
Kuukeri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kuukeri throwing shots but McQueen is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kuukeri takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McQueen is trying to stand.
McQueen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kuukeri wants to take a breather but McQueen is having none of it.

Kuukeri is working for a kimura but McQueen is defending it quite comfortably.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McQueen pushes Kuukeri off looking to stand but Kuukeri dives back in and keeps control.

Kuukeri is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McQueen sees it coming and defends easily.

Kuukeri takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McQueen taking some punishment here, with Kuukeri in his half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McQueen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kuukeri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McQueen's head.
Kuukeri moves into full mount! McQueen won't be happy about that!

Kuukeri is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McQueen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kuukeri cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kuukeri is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Kuukeri extends the arm and McQueen is forced to tap!
