Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Falcao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Schlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Falcao could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alexander Schlemenko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andre Falcao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Schlemenko!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcao dives in and grabs Schlemenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Schlemenko pushes down on Falcao's head and hops out.
Schlemenko lands a head shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Falcao is defended easily by Schlemenko.

Schlemenko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Falcao jumps guard but Schlemenko turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Falcao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Schlemenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Schlemenko throws a low kick but it's checked well by Falcao.
Schlemenko misses with a hook.
Schlemenko throws out a powerful jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Falcao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schlemenko tries to avoid it but Falcao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schlemenko to the ground. Schlemenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Falcao shoots in for a double leg but Schlemenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Schlemenko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Falcao.
Falcao slips under a jab.

Schlemenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Falcao, pushing him back against the cage.
Schlemenko is trying to break the clinch but Falcao has him pressed against the cage.
Falcao jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Schlemenko walks away with a smile on his face. Falcao gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Schlemenko darts in and clinches Falcao up against the cage.
Schlemenko is trying to break the clinch but Falcao has him pressed against the cage.
Schlemenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Falcao has him pressed against the cage.
Falcao tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Schlemenko just stands there and leans against the cage.
Falcao is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Schlemenko to keep the fight standing.

Schlemenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Falcao tries to close the distance and clinch but Schlemenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Falcao pulls guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Falcao utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Schlemenko throws a strike but Falcao rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Schlemenko wants to stand up but Falcao is controlling him.

Schlemenko has his foot on Falcao's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Falcao works his way back into a safe position though.

Falcao drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Falcao seems to have locked his on tight now - Schlemenko screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Falcao, as he picks up the win!
