PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axel Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Zarubaylo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose comes to the cage accompanied by Sweet Child O Mine. Nikolay Zarubaylo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolay Zarubaylo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarubaylo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rose's sensitive parts.
Zarubaylo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Zarubaylo - that will leave a mark!
Zarubaylo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zarubaylo thuds his shin into the meat of Rose's side.
Rose shoots in and drives through. Zarubaylo sprawls well.
Zarubaylo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Axel Rose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rose tries for a takedown but Zarubaylo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rose is breathing heavily.
Rose shoots in looking for a takedown. Zarubaylo tries to sprawl out of it but Rose keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zarubaylo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zarubaylo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zarubaylo.
Zarubaylo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zarubaylo looks for the body kick but Rose saw that one coming.
Rose takes a kick to the side of the head.
Rose fails to land the takedown.
Rose takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Rose is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zarubaylo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Oh Rose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zarubaylo lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Rose crumples to the floor! Zarubaylo milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
