Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buzz LightBear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Couture creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as LightBear accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

LightBear has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Couture is proving hard to escape from.
Couture pulls LightBear in close to prevent any damage.
Couture bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in LightBear's guard.
Couture really doesn't want to stay on the ground with LightBear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

LightBear has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Couture can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Couture gets to his feet. LightBear looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Couture wants the takedown. LightBear is fighting it off but Couture persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in LightBear's guard against the cage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well Couture has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
