Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Ponting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Foran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foran comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Ponting!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kieran Foran!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foran bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ponting throws a series of punches but Foran avoids them all with ease.
Ponting throws a right hand that Foran ducks under and follows up with a left that Foran also avoids with ease.
Foran throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ponting.
Ponting lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Foran circles away quickly and effectively.
A slow jab from Ponting misses its intended target.

The crowd cheers as Foran lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ponting doesn't seem phased though.

Ponting avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ponting swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ponting goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Foran attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

No joy there for Foran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ponting pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ponting dodges the punch combination from Foran.
Foran shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ponting eats them both and turns towards Foran to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Ponting will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Foran shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Ponting is breathing heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ponting fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foran manages to avoid it.
Foran throws a low kick, looking for Ponting's leg but Ponting calmly moves out of range.
Ponting takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Foran lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ponting backs up against the cage.
Foran lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Foran is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Ponting like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Ponting from another fist facial!
