Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Murthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gassimatt Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kevin Murthy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kevin Murthy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Low with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Low clinches with his opponent.

Low manages to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Low is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Murthy defends well.
Murthy trying to control but Low is working from the bottom.

Murthy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Low seems keen to control Murthy's posture.
Low trying to control the position.

Murthy gets to his feet - Low follows without any prompting.
Decent striking displayed by Low there.
No luck for Murthy with that takedown attempt.

Low fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Murthy sprawls well initially but Low persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Murthy is breathing heavily.
Low wants to stand up but Murthy has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Murthy is trying to stand back up but Low is controlling him
Low seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murthy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Murthy tries to kick Low off but Low keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Low is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Murthy defends it well.

Low thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Low seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murthy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Murthy is looking for a sweep. Low is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Low stops Murthy from getting back to his feet.
Low not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Low tries to stand and escape but Murthy is controlling the position.

Low is looking for a kimura but Murthy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Low to get the leverage.
Low thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Murthy manages to escape and get back to his feet!
A punch lands to the side of Murthy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Left hook, right uppercut from Low.

It looks like Kevin Murthy has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Low closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Low looks to land a combination. Murthy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Low lands a left and a right that send Murthy crashing to the mat, dazed. Low thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Murthy is rocked!
Low shoots for a double leg takedown but Murthy sprawls well. He's pushed Low's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oooooh!!! Low has knocked Murthy down with a huge combo! Low steps away and waves a wobbly Murthy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Murthy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Low wants to clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Murthy leaves his chin hanging out and Low seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Murthy crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
