Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Nichols (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Nikitin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikitin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Slipknot - The Heretic Anthem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nichols closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nikitin's guard.

Nikitin uses his free foot to push down on Nichols's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nichols.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nikitin throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Nichols's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Nikitin dives in looking to finish as Nichols flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Nikitin's strikes! Nikitin is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Nichols's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Nichols was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Oleg Nikitin really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Light Clothing ► Amsterdam! logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
