The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Solny in particular looking to stall.

Joe shoots in for a double leg but Solny sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Joe lands a left and a right that send Solny crashing to the mat, dazed. Joe thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Solny shoots in looking for a takedown but Joe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Solny's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jimmy Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Solny.

Joe gets tackled into the cage by Solny. Solny maintains the clinch.

Jimmy Joe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
