Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jedi Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michail Petrovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight comes to the cage accompanied by Why Can't We be Friends. Petrovsky is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pudzian Band - Dawaj na ring. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jedi Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michail Petrovsky!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight shoots in for a takedown but Petrovsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Petrovsky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Petrovsky dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Knight. That did some damage!

Petrovsky has Knight up against the cage in a clinch.
Petrovsky lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Petrovsky wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Knight has him pressed against the cage.
Knight has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Petrovsky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Petrovsky goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Knight goes for a takedown attempt but Petrovsky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jedi Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Knight throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petrovsky was covering up waiting for the punch and Knight finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Knight is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petrovsky wants to sweep here but Knight controlling him for the moment.

Petrovsky misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Petrovsky is doing well to control the position and prevent Knight from advancing to side control.
Petrovsky tries to kick Knight off but Knight keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Knight is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Knight seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Petrovsky for as long as he can get away with.
Petrovsky gets back to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knight accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Knight is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jedi Knight just wasn't active enough.
Petrovsky throws a half hearted mid kick.

Petrovsky moves into the clinch.
Petrovsky tries to land a knee to the head but Knight blocks with his arms.
A right hand to the body from Knight.
Petrovsky tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Knight avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Petrovsky is trying to push Knight away but Knight has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Petrovsky is trying to force a seperation but Knight has the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michail Petrovsky will probably get the nod.

Knight fails with the takedown.

Petrovsky is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Knight knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Petrovsky throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Petrovsky throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Knight works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Petrovsky takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Petrovsky wants to control but Knight is keeping him busy.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Michail Petrovsky.
Petrovsky throws a nice looking combination but Knight bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Petrovsky shoots in for a takedown but Knight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Knight shoots in looking for a takedown. Petrovsky tries to sprawl out of it but Knight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Petrovsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Petrovsky is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Knight is defending well for now.
Knight tries to break free but Petrovsky pushes him back against the cage.

Petrovsky is fighting off a takedown attempt but Knight is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Petrovsky to the mat. Petrovsky regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Michail Petrovsky is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knight is defending against the submission attempts here by Petrovsky.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Petrovsky lands a nice short elbow.

Well Petrovsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
