Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Grace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigmar Magnusson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grace's entrance music is Doggystyle - Snoop Dogg. A fine choice. Magnusson has chosen Go Go Godzilla - Blue Oyster Cult as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grace ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Magnusson moves away.

Grace closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grace lands in his opponent's guard.
Grace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Grace wants to control from the top but Magnusson keeps moving.

Magnusson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Magnusson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Magnusson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grace is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Magnusson, into his guard.

Magnusson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Magnusson drops back looking for a leg! Grace is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grace manages to kick Magnusson off! Magnusson jumps back into Grace's guard.

Grace might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Grace regains half guard there - taking advantage of Magnusson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magnusson is working for a kimura but Grace is defending it quite comfortably.
Grace is trying to stand up here but Magnusson is controlling him well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sigmar Magnusson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grace fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Grace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Magnusson.
Horrible takedown by Magnusson or perhaps it was just good defense by Grace which made him look bad.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grace feints and as Magnusson raises his hands in defense, Grace changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Grace wants to pass to mount but Magnusson is defending the position.
Grace lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Grace is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Magnusson wants to sweep but no luck.

Magnusson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Grace is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Grace's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grace decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Magnusson, up you get!

Magnusson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Grace is now in Magnusson's guard. A big mistake from Magnusson there, giving up the dominant position!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grace lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Magnusson is looking to close the distance but Grace sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Magnusson crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Magnusson is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Max Grace opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
