The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Bruggen throws a nice inside leg kick.

van Bruggen tries to sprawl but Brott drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Brott moves out of range of the strikes.
Brott turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
van Bruggen looks to land a left hand but Brott moved out of range nicely.

Brott lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Brott takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brott shoots in looking for a takedown but van Bruggen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brott's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johannes van Bruggen will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Brott drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brott, as that shot connected.
Brott throws a leg kick but van Bruggen moved away.
van Bruggen punishes Brott's body with a nice straight punch.
Brott fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches van Bruggen on the side of the head.
Brott lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
van Bruggen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brott was well out of range. Poor timing from van Bruggen.
Brott throws a lazy right hand but van Bruggen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
van Bruggen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Brott connects with a solid leg kick.
van Bruggen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brott tries to avoid it but van Bruggen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brott to the ground. Brott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johannes van Bruggen.
