Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pruchasvok Nevinski!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nevinski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
James swinging wildly here.
Nevinski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and James counters with a straight right hand.
Nevinski throws a right and a left that James avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from James misses.
James shoots in and drives through. Nevinski sprawls well.

and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

James is working for a kimura but Nevinski is defending it quite comfortably.
James looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Nevinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

James is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nevinski has managed to free his arm - good work.

James wants to work for an arm triangle but Nevinski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nevinski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time James.

Nevinski pushes James off looking to stand but James dives back in and keeps control.
James throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

James seems to be working for a kimura but Nevinski defends the submission attempt.
James is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

James is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Nevinski tries to kick James off but James keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
James is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nevinski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Nevinski tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from James!
