Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Illy Billy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davies gets a takedown into half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Davies is pressing down on Billy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Billy is holding on for now.

Billy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Davies is pushing Billy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Davies has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Billy uses from the top position.
Davies on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davies tries to get out of the position.
Billy is fighting to break Davies's control of his arms but Davies is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Davies is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Davies seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Billy for as long as he can get away with.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davies is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Billy is surviving well by controlling Davies's body position as best he can.
