Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Chong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I SHOT THE SHERIFF. Creed comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Apollo Creed, Deck of Jack kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chong blocks a head kick by Creed.
A solid leg kick lands there for Creed.
Chong catches Creed with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Apollo Creed has been cut.
Creed moves out of range of the body kick from Chong.
Apollo Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Creed is looking to slow Chong down with leg kicks.
Creed listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chong. Creed does a little dance to reset his feet.
Creed connects with a right hand. Chong shakes it off.
Creed lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Chong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Chong throws a wild body kick that Creed sees coming a mile off.
Chong misses with a takedown attempt - Creed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Creed fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chong checks it well.
Chong does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Chong wants to clinch up but Creed keeps it at a distance.

Chong is looking to wear down Creed with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Creed throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Creed is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chong had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Creed lands a leg kick that knocks Chong off balance momentarily.
Creed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Creed throws a right hand that Chong ducks under and follows up with a left that Chong also avoids with ease.

Creed bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chong's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Creed missing with a left hand there. Chong was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chong looks for the body kick but Creed saw that one coming.
Creed looks to score with a jab to the body but Chong is just out of range.

Creed gets caught napping as Chong dives in and scores a takedown. Creed manages to retain guard.

Chong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Creed works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Creed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chong's guard.

Creed wants to get back to his feet.
Creed tries to stand and escape but Chong actually recovers to full guard.
Creed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chong is just content to waste time from the top position. Creed takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Chong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Chong is nestled in close to Creed, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Chong looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
