Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Mingle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Alex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mingle comes into the arena with SOS blaring out of the sound system. Mingle is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Don Mingle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alex gets a takedown into half guard.
Mingle is breathing heavily.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Alex decides to stand up.
A head kick misses from Alex.
Alex stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alex wants it to stay on the feet.

Alex has closed the distance and engaged Mingle in a clinch.
Mingle has Alex pressed against the cage, preventing Alex from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Alex escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mingle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alex to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mingle is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alex controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alex decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Alex scores a takedown into full mount!
Alex controlling the pace for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mingle working to try and regain half guard.

Alex is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mingle is surviving well by controlling Alex's body position as best he can.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mingle in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alex takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Alex takes Mingle's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Mingle is in trouble.
Alex should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Alex has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mingle's body.

Alex is working for a rear naked choke. Mingle is not defending it well and Alex has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mingle refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mingle's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
