The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon rushes Lamont and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lamont tries a knee to the head but Gordon blocks it.
Lamont misses with a punch to the body.
Gordon is trying to push Lamont away but Lamont has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Gordon gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gordon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lamont doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gordon.
Gordon has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lamont defend it? Gordon steps over the head and cranks it - Lamont is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gordon!
