The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Obomba is looking to take a break and control but Nazar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Obomba got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nazar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Obomba has managed to get both his arms back between Nazar's legs - danger averted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
