And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Bulman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bulman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hinuri struggling a bit here.
Hinuri gets back to half guard.
Hinuri gets back to full guard.
Hinuri looking to control.

Hinuri looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hinuri pulls Bulman in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bulman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bulman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hinuri works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bulman postures up.
Bulman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hinuri seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bulman trying to control but Hinuri is working from the bottom.
Hinuri wants to stand up but Bulman is controlling him.
Bulman with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bulman throwing strikes but missing.
Bulman throws a strike but Hinuri rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hinuri wants to control from the top but Bulman keeps moving.
Bulman working a defensive guard but Hinuri manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bulman tries to bench press Hinuri off him but Hinuri keeps the position.

Hinuri wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bulman, who protects the arm well.

Hinuri in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Bulman is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Hinuri!
