The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Jones catches Roberts right on the button with a cross.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones scores with a jab. Roberts acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Roberts looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Roberts takes one to the side of the head.
Jones thows a body shot but no joy.
Roberts shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Roberts looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Eddy Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Roberts.
Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Roberts takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
An inside leg kick lands from Jones.
Jones chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Roberts gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jones.
Roberts takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Roberts fails with the takedown.
Jones lands with a nice combination. Roberts backs away looking to recover.
Roberts shoots and misses

and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Roberts! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Roberts to his feet! Roberts is in big trouble!

Roberts is rocked!
Jones throws an overhand right that drops Roberts like a sack of potatoes! Jones dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
