The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jovani misses with a straight left.
Jovani throws a body kick that misses.
Patrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Jovani tries to sprawl out of it but Patrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jovani manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Patrick closes the distance and clinches up with Jovani, looking for a takedown. Patrick pushes Jovani against the cage but Jovani circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Patrick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jovani!

Patrick quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Patrick but it's paid off an Jovani is forced to tap! Nice work by Patrick.
