Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tourniquet . There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 2, fighting out of New York, James Jones!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee moves away from the strike by Jones.
Lee listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Lee lands the left hand.
Lee connects with a single shot there.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee.
Lee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones slips a jab from Lee.
Lee shoots and misses
and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lee.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.

Lee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

Lee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Lee throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab.

Jones throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease.

Lee forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
Lee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lee is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Lee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jones is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Jones misses with a hook from the clinch.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones throws a leg kick but Lee checks it.
Lee jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lee.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A left lands for Lee.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Lee down.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bruce Lee is winning the standup battle so far.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A big right from Jones misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jones scores with the left hand. Lee knows he should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but James Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A punch lands to the side of Lee 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jones throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range.
Jones is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jones cracks Lee with a good jab.
Jones throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jones thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lee throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lee has managed to clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lee.
Lee misses with a hook from the clinch.

Lee goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lee misses with a wild body shot.
Lee takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

A chopping leg kick lands by Jones.
Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.

Lee is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range.
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
