Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cane's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rob Zombie - What. Cohen has chosen Season in the Abyss as his entrance music. Lawrence Cohen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Quentin Cane's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quentin Cane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lawrence Cohen!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cohen scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cane misses the shot to the body.
Cane thows a body shot but no joy.
Cane moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cane throws a right and a left that Cohen avoids nicely.
Cane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Cohen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cane misses with a looping right.
Quentin Cane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cane shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cohen counters with a nice body shot.
Cohen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cohen lands a nice hook to Cane's body. Cane takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cohen dives in and grabs Cane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cane pushes down on Cohen's head and hops out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cohen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Cane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cohen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Cane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cohen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cane has managed to get both his arms back between Cohen's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cohen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cohen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cane drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cohen dives on top into guard.

Cane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cohen defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cohen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cohen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cane tries to lock up and control but Cohen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Quentin Cane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Cohen misses with a head shot.
Cohen pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Cohen is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Cane is in real trouble.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cohen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Cane is defending well though. Cohen let's go of the attempt for now.

Lawrence Cohen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cane throws a right hand that Cohen ducks under and follows up with a left that Cohen also avoids with ease.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cohen.

Cohen wants to take a breather but Cane manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Cohen.

Cohen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cane is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cane has escaped and now he's on top!

Cohen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cane is looking to escape.
Cohen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cane looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cohen working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cohen prevents Cane from getting the reversal.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quentin Cane.
I think Cane has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
