Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Worner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephan Bonnar!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner with a poor takedown

so Bonnar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Worner wants to sweep but no luck.

Worner is looking for a triangle but Bonnar pushes his legs off easily.
Worner tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bonnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bonnar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Worner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bonnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Worner throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bonnar throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bonnar with a nice head shot there.

Bonnar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Worner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Worner landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bonnar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Worner is breathing heavily.
Bonnar keeping moving, preventing Worner from controlling successfully.

Bonnar working for a triangle but Worner defends it easily.
Worner trying to control the position from guard on top but Bonnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Worner is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bonnar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Worner is looking to defend but Bonnar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Worner! Bonnar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Worner taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Stephan Bonnar!
