PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Lee Swigger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cena might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to John Cena - My Time Is Now. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swigger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Swigger throws a series of strikes that have Cena backpedaling.
Swigger fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Swigger is pressed up against the cage. Cena has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Swigger down to the mat. Swigger avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cena shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cena showed some decent athleticism there.
Swigger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cena. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cena seems to be working for a kimura but Swigger defends the submission attempt.

Cena tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Swigger swivels and escapes.

Cena is breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cena looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Swigger paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cena throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Swigger's waist but Swigger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cena off to one side.
Swigger bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cena's head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Swigger kicks Cena off and gets back to his feet.
Cena tries to close the distance and clinch up but Swigger swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cena fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bob Lee Swigger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cena closes the distance and clinches up with Swigger, looking for a takedown. Cena pushes Swigger against the cage but Swigger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cena avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cena shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Swigger as he avoids it easily.
Cena tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Swigger counters with a stiff right hand.
Cena moves forwards but Swigger connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Swigger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cena.
Swigger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cena shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cena is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Cena is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Swigger has escaped the position, nice work there.

Cena lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Swigger down.
Swigger wants to get back to his feet but Cena drags him back down.

Swigger sneaks out the side door and pushes Cena away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Swigger lands a nice shot that snaps Cena's head back.

Swigger drops Cena with a beautiful combination! Cena stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Swigger is looking for the KO!

Swigger lands with a right that hurts Cena. Cena looks to clinch but Swigger throws a short knee that drops Cena. This one is all over!
