The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson blocks the elbow strike.

Mcconnell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mcconnell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.

Mcconnell has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Mcconnell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Mcconnell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Mark Johnson has been cut.

Mcconnell lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Mark Johnson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
