Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donald Post!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Boykin!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Post changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boykin tries to avoid it but Post manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boykin to the ground. Boykin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boykin shoots in but Post avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Post lands a nice hook to Boykin's body. Boykin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Post looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Post looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Post working the head and body with strikes.
Post throwing shots but Boykin is blocking nicely.
Boykin tries to get to full guard but Post has control of the leg.
Post seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Post wants to take a breather but Boykin is having none of it.

Post with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Post's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Post sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Boykin defending well though.
Post tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Post is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boykin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Post.

Post is taking a breather. Boykin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Donald Post just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Post closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Boykin is refusing to be controlled, as Post sits in half guard.

Post thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Boykin to regain full guard.
Boykin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Post controls the pace.
Post working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Post passes Boykin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Post passes to side control.
Post wants to control but Boykin is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donald Post dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Boykin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Post paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Post feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Post is looking to stand up but Boykin won't let him.
Boykin is trying to keep Post in close.
Boykin keeping moving, preventing Post from controlling successfully.
Boykin trying to keep a closed guard but Post is proving a slippery customer.
Post advances position into side control!

Post is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boykin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Post looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Post wants to take a breather but Boykin manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Post.
Boykin wants to stand but Post is controlling the position.
Boykin is breathing heavily.
Post trying to control but Boykin is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Post is looking to clinch.

Post shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Post lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Post content just to control the position here.
Boykin tries to reverse the position but Post maintains control.
Post mounts Boykin! Really nice guard pass there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Post controlling the position easily from mount.

Post looking to control and managing it successfully.
Boykin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Post tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Post goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Boykin is on top in guard.
Post is pulling down on Boykin's head. It's preventing any offense from Boykin, at least for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donald Post dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Post misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Boykin rushes Post and presses him up against the cage.
Boykin prevents a takedown attempt there.
Boykin tries to score a body lock takedown but Post shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Post is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Post tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Boykin breaks from the clinch.
Post tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Horrible takedown by Post or perhaps it was just good defense by Boykin which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donald Post. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Post will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Post.
Post is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Boykin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Post cracks Boykin with a big elbow.

Post passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Boykin!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Post controlling his opponent.

Post seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boykin for as long as he can get away with.

Boykin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Post's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
