Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Nestle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blue Urkle!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nestle shoots in for a takedown but Urkle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nestle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Urkle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Joe Nestle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nestle closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Urkle's guard.

Nestle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nestle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nestle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Urkle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nestle passes Urkle's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Urkle wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Nestle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Urkle defends it well.
Nestle is taking a breather. Urkle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Nestle stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Urkle to get to his feet.
Nestle looks for a takedown but Urkle sprawls well.
Urkle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nestle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nestle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Oooooh!!! Urkle has knocked Nestle down with a huge combo! Urkle steps away and waves a wobbly Nestle back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Nestle is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nestle with a poor takedown
and Urkle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oh Nestle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Nestle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nestle is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Urkle. Those never looked like landing.
Nestle gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Urkle points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Nestle wakes up just in time to hear Urkle thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Blue Urkle!
