Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angus McLoughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLoughlin comes to the cage accompanied by Cadence to Arms. Prime is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metalingus by Alter Bridge. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prime avoids the body shot from McLoughlin.
Prime misses with an uppercut. McLoughlin saw that one coming.
Prime will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McLoughlin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Prime scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
You can see the frustration on McLoughlin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McLoughlin dips to his left and cracks Prime with an uppercut!

McLoughlin ducks right into an uppercut from Prime.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McLoughlin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Prime has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Prime and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and McLoughlin counters with a good low kick that Prime was not able to check.
McLoughlin tries to close the distance and clinch but Prime swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Prime on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McLoughlin. McLoughlin obviously looking to wear him down.
Prime uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McLoughlin.
Angus McLoughlin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLoughlin scores with the left hand. Prime knows he should have avoided that one.
McLoughlin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prime paws at him with a jab and circles away.

It looks like Optimus Prime has been cut.

McLoughlin throws a leg kick which misses Prime's front leg but catches the back leg as Prime tries to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Prime has McLoughlin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McLoughlin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

McLoughlin has Prime pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Prime is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from McLoughlin - that's hurt Prime badly! Oh, another knee lands and Prime is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Prime doesn't seem to be complaining.
