Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Gabriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Henning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel comes into the arena with Get Out Of My Room blaring out of the sound system. Henning is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: In For the Count ( Perfect Twist). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Henning!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabriel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Henning swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gabriel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Justin Gabriel has been cut.
Gabriel fails with a takedown attempt.
Henning shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Henning showed some decent athleticism there.
Gabriel kicks off Henning and gets to his feet.
Henning throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Henning closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gabriel to the mat! Gabriel manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gabriel manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Henning on his heels. He'll look to pass Henning's guard now, I'm sure.
Gabriel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Justin Gabriel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Henning stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gabriel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Henning is breathing heavily.

Henning is working an open guard so Gabriel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gabriel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Justin Gabriel will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Henning looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gabriel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Henning sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gabriel somewhat.
Gabriel shoots in for a takedown but Henning shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Henning shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gabriel sprawls well. Gabriel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Henning gets slowly back to his feet.

Henning has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Henning really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gabriel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Henning can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gabriel controls the pace.

Justin Gabriel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Justin Gabriel just wasn't active enough.
Gabriel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henning as he avoids it easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gabriel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
