The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
STYLE shoots in but Zmertin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
STYLE shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zmertin pinned against the cage. Zmertin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Zmertin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in STYLE's guard.

STYLE throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. STYLE connects with a nice short shot to Zmertin's temple.

STYLE is working for a submission of some sort.
Zmertin is trying to get back to full guard.
Zmertin regains full guard. Nicely done.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as STYLE accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Zmertin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with STYLE. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

STYLE has gone for a leg lock! Zmertin slips out almost immediately though and dives into STYLE's guard.
