PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rey Mysterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabbit has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Cottontail Rabbit acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rabbit gets caught flat footed, as Mysterio shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mysterio slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Mysterio decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Mysterio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rabbit looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mysterio lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rabbit down.

Mysterio decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rey Mysterio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rabbit looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mysterio pushes Rabbit up against the cage in a clinch.

Mysterio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rabbit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mysterio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mysterio is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rabbit's shoulder. That is not cool.

Mysterio has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rabbit is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mysterio yanks on the arm and Rabbit is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mysterio.
