The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws out a loose jab but Veron uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tyson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Tyson tries to sprawl but Veron drives through with a takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Veron is just content to waste time from the top position. Tyson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Veron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tyson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Veron is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Veron accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tyson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Veron slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Tyson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Veron on the ground.

Veron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Veron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Veron cracks Tyson with a big right hand but Tyson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Tyson tries to bench press Veron off him but Veron keeps the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Veron loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Tyson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Veron land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Veron stands and salutes the crowd.
