The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Green.
Aldo tries a head kick but it misses.
Green lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Aldo swats away the attempt to clinch by Green.

Aldo moves into range and clinches up with Green.
Aldo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Green avoids it.

Green works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Aldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green prevents Aldo from getting back to his feet.
Green stands up over Aldo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Aldo is retaining full guard.

Aldo pushes Green off looking to stand but Green dives back in and keeps control.
Green seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aldo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Aldo wants to get back to his feet.

Green looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Green maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Aldo could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Green has cracked it and Aldo is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Green!
