Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shoryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carver comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park - A Place for My Head. Shoryu has chosen Undertaking the Work of the Lord by Hatewire as his entrance music. Ken Shoryu has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Solomon Carver's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver looks to throw the jab but Shoryu is out of range.
Carver fails to land with a series of punches.
Shoryu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carver throws out the jab.
Solomon Carver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Carver working hard to break the clinch.
Carver scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Carver is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shoryu pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Shoryu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Carver lands with an overhand left.
Jab, jab by Carver - just one landing.
Shoryu throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shoryu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carver misses with a lunging right hand
and Shoryu makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Carver really felt that one!

Carver throws the left hand but Shoryu avoids the punch easily.
Shoryu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carver.
Carver throws a shot from downtown. Shoryu moves away and avoids it.
Carver blocks a head kick by Shoryu.
Shoryu slips under a jab.
Ken Shoryu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A combination from Carver does no damage.

Oh Carver is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shoryu dances in with a quick combination. Carver is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Shoryu snaps Carver's head back. Carver stumbles backwards against the cage. Shoryu steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Carver's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Carver just didn't come prepared.
