PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anne Peanutbutter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Yellow Submiarine. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peanutbutter pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Dawson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Peanutbutter's guard now.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Peanutbutter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dawson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peanutbutter has managed to get both his arms back between Dawson's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peanutbutter connects with a nice short shot to Dawson's temple.
