The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koivikorpi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Koivikorpi tries to advance to mount but can't.

Koivikorpi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Joachimsen, who protects the arm well.
Joachimsen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Koivikorpi asserts his dominance and retains side control.
