The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymond shoots in for a takedown but St pierre shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

George St pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raymond misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
St pierre throws a right hand that Raymond ducks under and follows up with a left that Raymond also avoids with ease.
