The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Rapa. That snapped Croke's head back.
Rapa looks to score with a jab to the body but Croke is just out of range.
Rapa throws a solid leg kick but Croke takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rapa.

Croke throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rapa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Croke is in Rapa's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Croke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rapa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rapa is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Croke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Croke is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Croke wants to sweep here but Rapa controlling him for the moment.

Croke is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rapa passes easily into side control. Nice work.
