The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valec slips a jab and a cross from Sheridan.
Valec looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Valec misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sheridan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sheridan!

Valec is rocked!
Sheridan misses with the combination.
Oh Valec is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Michael Sheridan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valec misses with a takedown attempt - Sheridan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Valec seems to have got his legs back now.

Sheridan lands a left and a right that send Valec crashing to the mat, dazed. Sheridan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sheridan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Valec moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Sheridan knocks Valec out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Michael Sheridan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
