The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Jared Williams has been cut.
Jared Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Alves counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Alves cracks Williams on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Williams falls backwards against the ropes. Alves follows up with more strikes that drop Williams to his knees. Alves keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Williams! This one is all over!
