Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Dessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Leeroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leeroy has chosen Boondocks Theme Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dessler takes a swing at Leeroy's ribcage but misses.
Dessler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leeroy.
Leeroy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dessler is looking to score with low kicks.
Leeroy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dessler counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Leeroy throws a chopping leg kick but Dessler manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Leeroy thows a body shot but no joy.
Leeroy throws a lazy right hand but Dessler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Leeroy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dessler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leeroy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Leeroy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dessler on the side of the head.
Leeroy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dessler's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dessler avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bruce Leeroy will probably get the nod.

and Leeroy finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Dessler lunges at Leeroy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Leeroy's hand.
Dessler looks to score with a jab to the body but Leeroy is just out of range.
Dessler takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dessler doesn't manage to clinch there - Leeroy circles away.
Dessler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Leeroy throws a hook to the side of Dessler's head but Dessler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Leeroy counters with a good low kick that Dessler was not able to check.
Leeroy throws a solid leg kick but Dessler takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Leeroy.
Dessler throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A looping hook to the body misses from Leeroy. Dessler does a little dance to reset his feet.

Leeroy throws out a loose jab but Dessler uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Dessler counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Dessler misses with an uppercut. Leeroy saw that one coming.
Dessler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

letting Leeroy counter with a right hand.
Leeroy throws out a leg kick but Dessler moves out of range and Leeroy only half commits.
Dessler lands a big head kick that sends Leeroy tumbling to the mat! Dessler takes a step backwards and waves Leeroy back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Billy Dessler is winning the standup battle so far.
Dessler circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Leeroy drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Dessler follows Leeroy to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
