Mars is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Mars tries to clinch but Sibert moves out of range.

Mars feints and as Sibert raises his hands in defense, Mars changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mars postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mars is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mars won't allow Sibert to sweep him here.
Mars thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mars drops back looking for a leg! Sibert is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sibert manages to kick Mars off! Mars jumps back into Sibert's guard.
Mars postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Mars is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Mars wants to pass the guard but Sibert is keeping the position.
Sibert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mars. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mars is trying to trip Sibert. He has hold of a leg but Sibert is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mars persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Mars sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sibert's guard.

Mars thows a huge punch but Sibert dodges it nicely.
Mars is taking a breather. Sibert says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Mars is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mars perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sibert tries to get to full guard but Mars has control of the leg.
Mars is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sibert is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
