Rene has chosen Billionaire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitalenko misses with a hook. Rene ducked under it nicely.
Vitalenko throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sloppy strikes from Vitalenko. Those never looked like landing.
A big right from Vitalenko misses.
Vitalenko misses with the body kick
and Rene counters with an inside leg kick.
Rene misses with a wild body shot.
Rene throws a head kick but Vitalenko moves out of range.

Rene looks to score with a jab to the body but Vitalenko is just out of range.
Rene misses the shot to the body.
A slow jab from Vitalenko misses its intended target.
Rene scores with a leg kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vitalenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rene was well out of range. Poor timing from Vitalenko.
Rene digs a good body shot into Vitalenko's ribs.
Jurij Vitalenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rene takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rene. Vitalenko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rene is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Vitalenko rather than just go for the knockout.
Rene darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rene lands with a right hand.
Vitalenko dodges the punch combination from Rene.
Vitalenko throws out a loose jab but Rene uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rene takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Shane Rene has been cut.
Vitalenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rene.
Rene bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rene scores with a body shot.
Vitalenko is breathing heavily.
Vitalenko lands with a cross.
Rene lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vitalenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rene.

Rene lands a left and a right that send Vitalenko crashing to the mat, dazed. Rene thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Vitalenko is rocked!

It looks like Jurij Vitalenko has been cut.
Vitalenko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oh Vitalenko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rene cracks Vitalenko with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Vitalenko falls to his knees and Rene doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
