The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picard drives through with a takedown into guard.
Picard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flaim swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Flaim pulls Picard in close to prevent any damage.
Flaim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jp Flaim was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Picard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flaim manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Picard shoots for a double leg takedown but Flaim sprawls well. He's pushed Picard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Picard shoots in looking for a takedown. Flaim tries to sprawl out of it but Picard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Flaim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Flaim drops back, looking for a kneebar! Picard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Picard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Picard!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jean Luc Picard will probably get the nod.

Flaim is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Picard is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Picard has escaped and now he's on top!

Well Picard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
